Sometimes Christians say the resurrection of Jesus proves that God exists and that the Bible is true; and the crowning evidence for that resurrection was the empty tomb. But why could not Pilate have had the body removed? He would have had no motive to do that, desiring instead to keep a lid on the whole affair and restore peace
Even if he'd wanted to do that, he had no opportunity - for there was a Jewish Temple Guard watching the tomb
Even if he did "disappear" the body, someone would have figured it out and blown the whistle
